Manufacturing and test requirements for containers, medium containers and portable tanks (I)

containers, medium bulk containers (medium bulk containers), large containers, portable tanks Requirements for the manufacture and testing of multi-component gas containers and bulk containers

Chapter 6.1

the manufacture and testing of containers (except for those used for 6.2 substances) should be further developed, focusing on the operation function of unidirectional (UD) fiber reinforced belts. Requirements

6.1.1 overview

6.1.1.1 the requirements of this chapter are not applicable to:

(a) packages containing radioactive substances, which must comply with the regulations of the International Atomic Energy Agency, The exceptions are:

(I) radioactive substances with other risks (secondary risks) must also comply with special regulations 172; And

(II) low specific activity substances and surface polluting objects can be transported in some containers defined in these regulations, provided that they also comply with the supplementary provisions of the regulations of the International Atomic Energy Agency

(b) pressure receptacles

(c) packages with a net weight greater than 400 kg

(d) containers with a capacity of more than 450 liters

6.1.1.2 the requirements for containers in 6.1.4 are based on the containers currently used. Taking into account the progress of science and technology, we do not object to the use of containers with specifications different from those proposed in 6.1.4, as long as these containers are equally effective, can be accepted by the competent authority, and can withstand the tests described in 6.1.1.3 and 6.1.5. Other test methods other than those described in this regulation can be used as long as this test method is equivalent

6.1.1.3 each container to be filled with liquid must successfully pass the appropriate tightness test under the following conditions and be able to reach the appropriate test level indicated in 6.1.5.4.3:

(a) before being used for transportation for the first time

(b) after modification or repair, before being used again for transportation

during this test, the container does not need to be equipped with its own closure device

if the test results will not be affected, the inner container of the composite container can be tested without the outer container. This test is not required for the inner container of the combined container

6.1.1.4. In order to ensure that each container meets the requirements of this chapter, the container must be manufactured, repaired and tested in accordance with the quality assurance program approved by the competent authority

6.1.1.5 the container manufacturer and subsequent dealers must provide Robert eller, a plastic industry consultant, with information about the procedures to be followed, and state the type and size of the closure device (including the gasket) and any other components required to ensure that the package submitted for transportation can pass the applicable performance test specified in this chapter

6.1.2 indicates the code of the container type

6.1.2.1 the code includes:

(a) an Arabic number, indicating the type of container, such as barrels, cans, etc., followed by

(b) a capital Latin letter, indicating the nature of the material, such as steel, wood, etc., followed if necessary

(c) an Arabic numeral indicating the category of the container in the category to which it belongs

6.1.2.2 if it is a composite container, write it in the second position of the code in sequence with two capital Latin letters. The first letter indicates the material of the inner container and the second letter indicates the material of the outer container

6.1.2.3 if it is a combined container, only the code of the outer container is used

6.1.2.4 the letters't ',' V 'or' W 'can be added after the container code. The letter't 'indicates a salvage container that meets the requirements of 6.1.5.1.11. The letter 'V' indicates a special container that meets the requirements of 6.1.5.1.7, and the letter 'W' indicates that although the type of container is the same as that indicated by the code, its manufacturing specification is different from that in 6.1.4, but it is considered equivalent according to the requirements of 6.1.1.2

6.1.2.5 the following figures are used to indicate the type of container:

1 Bucket

2 Wooden Pipa barrel

3 Tank

4 Box

5 Bag

6 Composite container

6.1.2.6 the following capital letters are used to indicate the type of material:

a. steel (all models and surface treatment)

b. aluminum

c. natural wood

d. plywood

f. recycled wood

g. fiberboard

h. plastic

m. therefore, multilayer paper

n. metal (except steel or aluminum)

p. glass, ceramics or coarse ceramics
